I forgot my master password
Then the vault is gone, and we cannot help. There is no reset, no hint and no recovery. The key never leaves your Mac and we hold nothing that could open it.
This is not a limitation we plan to remove. A vault somebody else can unlock for you is a vault somebody else can be made to unlock.
If you still have a backup and remember that passphrase, restore it: Settings › Backup › Restore.
My licence will not install
Paste the whole block, including the -----BEGIN and -----END lines.

Nothing unlocked after installing my licence
Restart DribbleVault. Entitlements are read once at startup, deliberately — nothing should be able to observe them changing while the app is running. The licence tab says so when a restart is pending.
Can I use my licence on more than one Mac?
Yes. There is no activation, no machine limit and no call home. It is a signed file with your name on it; install it on any Mac you own. It carries your name because that is what makes people keep it to themselves.
What happens when my updates period ends?
Nothing, to what you have. The version you installed keeps working as Pro forever. A licence covers every version released inside its window; a build released after it runs as Free until you renew. Your vault is never affected either way — every password, note and file stays readable and exportable.
Is there sync between my devices?
No. One Mac, one vault. You can move an encrypted backup yourself. Sync would mean a server holding your data, which is a different product with a different threat model — if it is ever built, it will be described honestly rather than added quietly.
Touch ID is greyed out
It needs a build signed with a provisioning profile that authorises the keychain access group. If your copy shows it as unavailable, that build does not have one. Your master password works as normal.
How do I move to a new Mac?
- Settings › Backup › Create backup, and keep the file somewhere safe
- Install DribbleVault on the new Mac
- Settings › Backup › Restore, and give it the passphrase that backup was made with
- Paste your licence into Settings › Licence
The backup is encrypted and verified before a single byte is written.

Ask. The free version is not a trial and does not expire, so you can use DribbleVault for as long as you like before paying — but if Pro is not what you expected, write to us.
